Alan Pardew has again blasted reports that Scott Sinclair's loan spell at Charlton will be cut short by Chelsea.

The talented winger has yet to start a game for the Addicks since signing on loan and reports have refused to go away suggesting that Chelsea are unhappy and want him back.

Pardew says that is not the case though and plans to speak to Chelsea in a bid to end the rumours.

"I've been speaking to Chelsea about this because it's difficult for him to come into a side that is not playing an expansive game," Pardew told the Kent Messenger.

"Chelsea are aware of my thoughts on this matter and I'm confident that Scott will stay."
