Nicolas Anelka says he is very happy at Chelsea and is already talking about signing an extended deal at Stamford Bridge.

Anelka only arrived at the club in January when Avram Grant forked out £15million to Bolton for his services but the Frenchman has struggled to command a regular first-team place.

Even so, Anelka says he is more than happy at Chelsea and would like to pen a new deal when his current one expires in four years' time.

"I am already very happy to have signed for a club like Chelsea. I have been waiting for that since my departure from Liverpool six years ago," Anelka told L'Equipe.

"I will be 32 at the end of my Chelsea contract. If they want to keep me I will stay. Otherwise you never know. I can move to USA or come back to Paris Saint Germain. It is an option I can't exclude."
