Mateja Kezman has fanned the Champions League flames by claiming Chelsea would never have lost to Fenerbahce under Jose Mourinho.
The Blues let slip a 1-0 lead in Turkey on Wednesday to go down 2-1 going into next week's quarter-final return leg at Stamford Bridge.
Kezman, signed by former Chelsea manager Mourinho for £5million in 2004, had a largely unhappy time in west London and failed to win a permanent place under the Portuguese tactician.
But he saw enough off Mourinho to claim Chelsea are now a soft touch under Avram Grant, adding they also lack team spirit.
"Under Mourinho, Chelsea were a machine - and they worked for 90 or 95 minutes without mistake or faults," Kezman said.
"If Mourinho had been in charge of this match, of course it would have been different.
"He's a very different coach, and in his time there were no surprises and no mistakes. Everything worked fantastically. They don't have the same spirit in the team any more.
"We are full of confidence for the second leg. We will not show as much respect for them in London."
