Newcastle boss Kevin Keegan has stated that he does not want to sell keeper Steve Harper after Liverpool were linked with him.
The 33-year-old has had a tremendous season between the posts for Newcastle, where he has stood in for the injured Shay Given, and that has alerted other clubs to his abilities.
This has led to reports that Liverpool are set to make a summer move for him and use him as an understudy to Jose Reina, but Keegan is in no rush to sell.
Keegan said: "I am not looking for him to go out, though I'm sure he would come and see me if Liverpool come and knock on his door.

"I'm not surprised if other teams are interested. Steve Harper is a very, very good goalkeeper.
"Everyone has always known that, but it's always been hidden by the fact he has not played."
