Arsenal keeper Jans Lehmann says being a substitute at the club 'sucks' but says he can cope with it as he is getting older.

The German international has made his feelings known before about sitting on the bench and, on a number of occasions, he has had a go at number one Manuel Almunia suggesting he is not good enough.

Lehmann, who is expected to move in the summer, said: "It sucks being a reserve, but with growing age it is bearable."

Meanwhile number three keeper Lukasz Fabianski is hoping to make a major impact at the Emirates Stadium next season after starting at Derby on Monday night.

He said: "I am not here just to be the second goalkeeper, I want to be the main goalkeeper. Manuel (Almunia) and Jens (Lehmann) are fine goalkeepers and we all get on well but I will be fighting to be ahead of them."
