Reading boss Steve Coppell has stated that he wants to keep striker Leroy Lita at the club despite rumours of a possible summer move.

Lita was farmed out to Charlton on loan but Coppell brought him back and started him in the goalless draw with Wigan last weekend.

Coppell has now stated that he expects the striker to score the goals in the final two matches of the campaign which will keep the club in the Premiership.

"He fitted straight back in," he told the club's official website.

"He's got goals in him, I can guarantee that. He might not have been outstanding at Wigan but he fitted right back in to what we're about.

"He's very much been part of our club's success in the last two years. He's as proud as anybody to be playing and privileged to be playing at this level.

"We all want to be here next year."
