Luiz Felipe Scolari and Slaven Bilic are out of the running to be new Man City boss, while Sven-Goran Eriksson may stay on this summer.
It has been widely reported this week that former England coach Eriksson will be shown the Eastlands exit door by chairman Thaksin Shinawatra at the end of the season.
However Panthongtae Shinawatra, the owner's son who is also a member of the City board, has thrown the departure of Eriksson into doubt by confirming that the Swede would join the club's players on the plane to Bangkok, Thailand, on May 14 for an end of season tour to Asia.
Meanwhile current Portugal coach Scolari and Croatia chief Bilic, who are among the names mooted to take over from Eriksson if he does depart, have effectively ruled themselves out of the reckoning.
When asked about the City job, Brazilian Scolari said: "It's the first time I have heard something about this topic. My agent was in Lisbon to have a few days with me and we were talking about many things but none of them related to England."
He added: "I will not decide anything about my future until we finish the European Championship.
"It will be after speaking with the president of the Portuguese Federation, Gilberto Madail, and he will have the last word. Now there is nothing."
Bilic, who has guided Croatia to Euro 2008 in Austria and Switzerland this summer, agreed to sign a two-year contract extension to remain in charge until 2010 on Wednesday afternoon.
