Sven-Goran Eriksson is adamant his Man City players have not 'packed their bags for summer' and he aims to win their final two matches.
The Eastlands chief, widely expected to be replaced at some point over the close-season, is focused on City's remaining Premier League encounters at Liverpool on Sunday and a trip to Middlesbrough on the final day. And he says the squad are desperate for a positive end to the campaign, despite uncertainty over the former England coach's future and claims many of them could jump ship if the Swedish tactician is axed.
Eriksson told the club's website: "I have not seen any signs in training that they have packed their bags for the summer!
"We have two games to play, both away and they will both be difficult but I'm sure there'll be a good performance from us in both matches."
On the trip to face a Liverpool side that lost out to Chelsea 3-2 after extra-time in their Champions League semi-final second leg on Wednesday, Eriksson added: "At the moment it's hard for us to know what team they will pick against us.
"Having not reached the final maybe they will think the season's over because they are sure to finish in fourth anyway.
"But knowing Liverpool, they will be up for a fight against us whatever players they pick."
