Ronnie O'Sullivan said he was relishing the prospect of a World Championship semi-final showdown with Stephen Hendry.
'The Rocket' completed a 13-7 victory over China's Liang Wenbo to book his place in the last four of the competition, with a 79 break sealing their quarter-final tie.
O'Sullivan said he was expecting a "superb match" against legend Hendry, adding the pressure was off for the pair of them.
"I'm pleased to be through, I could have played better but overall it's OK," he said. "I wanted to finish the match as quickly as possible but I started to miss a few balls.
"I didn't want to be there all night."
He added: "I think that the pressure is off when you get to the semi-final stage. We know what to expect and we just have to go out and play.
"You either relish these situations or you don't - I do and Stephen Hendry does and I am looking forward to it.
"He has probably not done as well as he would have liked over the last two or three years but when you have the ability to do anything to such a high standard you can still win tournaments.
"It's no surprise to me that Stephen is there as he is a great player. He is a great champion and it is a privilege to play him. At this level it is all about competing against the greatest players, it should be a superb match."
