Mark Hughes has yet to decide whether Blackburn midfielder Tugay will be offered a new deal to stay at Ewood Park.
Tugay's current deal runs out at the end of the season and the player is keen to prolong his career by signing another one-year contract with Rovers.
Hughes has admitted that Tugay will have to wait until the end of the season before talks resume but it looks as though the Rovers boss has serious doubts over the player's future.
A senior Rovers source has been quoted as saying: "Mark is genuinely torn over Tugay and whether to offer him a new deal. He has got a quota of players in mind for next season, and an idea of the amount of money he will have to spend.
"He's still tossing around a few different ideas at the moment, so he has told Tugay it will be the end of the season before he makes a final decision."
