West Ham boss Alan Curbishley is hoping that winger Julien Faubert has shaken off his hamstring injury in time to face Man Utd.
The Frenchman has been out for most of the campaign but is expected to line up at Old Trafford on Saturday but Curbishley as ever is beset by other injury problems.
Defender Anton Ferdinand has returned to light training but is not expected to feature because of his hamstring injury and neither is fellow centre-half Matthew Upson who has a calf problem.
Meanwhile, Freddie Ljungberg is out with a cracked rib and Curbishley is none too happy with Newcastle's Steven Taylor who he thinks could have done a lot more in trying to keep out of the Swede's way.
Curbs said: "Freddie is out because he's cracked a rib and there's a big disappointment with that once we've seen it again.
"Taylor could have done a bit more to avoid it. He's landed on him and that caused the damage."
