Portsmouth veteran Linvoy Primus will be "looked after" this summer when his deal expires, according to chief executive Peter Storrie.

The 34-year-old defender was a mainstay under boss Harry Redknapp before suffering a knee injury which has sidelined him for the entire season.

But Storrie is ready to sit down with Primus in order to offer him fresh terms after the player revealed last week that he will be ready for pre-season training.

"We will certainly look after Linvoy - he has been a great servant to the club and we will be sitting down with him as and when the time is right," Storrie told The News.

"Linvoy is certainly one who deserves to remain with the club. We haven't met with anybody regarding new contracts yet, but my personal opinion is he is one player we will definitely support as a club."
