Gary Megson has hailed the impact of Kevin Nolan but hopes he can get back among the goals as Bolton look to stay up.
Bolton have given themselves a chance of beating the drop after picking up seven points in the last three games and Megson says that Nolan has been rallying the troops in the dressing room.
The Trotters are far from safe yet but Megson says a couple of more goals from Nolan could help them avoid the dreaded drop.
Megson said: "He has a big influence in the dressing room, on the pitch and as a person, as a captain and leader. He does very well from that point of view.
"We could do with him scoring again, like he was doing, but I think a lot of clubs have that talisman, not in terms of good fortune, but when they are about the place your results tend to be a bit better."
