West Ham have entered the race to land young Uruguayan hotshot Bruno Fornaroli from Club Nacional Montevideo.
The 20-year-old has netted 13 times this season to catch the attentions of European scouts, with Tottenham known admirers, while Lazio and Napoli have already opened talks about a possible move.
The Player's agent Vincenzo D'Ippolito has now revealed that the Hammers' new director of football, Gianluca Nani, is also keen on his charge.
"In Italy for the moment there is Napolu and Lazio, abroad, from what I know there is Tottenham," he told skysports.com.
"In England recently there is also West Ham that have showed their interest, Gianluca Nani, who will soon be working for them, asked me about information on him."
However, D'Ippolito has also revealed that any potential move is on hold while they are in the process of acquiring an EU passport - which could prove crucial in any possible move to the Premiership.
"A lot will depend on the passport which he is waiting for, especially if he wants to go to England," he added.
"For the moment, everything is blocked. We are on stand-by and we must wait around 20 to 30 days."
