Reading's Premier League status remains in the balance after Steve Coppell's men suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to Tottenham.
Reading will go into the final day of the season in the bottom three after a poor performance at the Madjeski Stadium today.
Tottenham went ahead after just 16 minutes when Robbie Keane linked up well with Darren Bent, dummied two defenders and finished superbly past Marcus Hahnemann. The away side continued to dominate the first half with Steed Malbranque and Darren Bent both missing good chances.
Spurs started the second period as they had ended the first and The Royals didn't really wake up until the last 20 minutes of the game, with Andre Bikey and substitute Marek Matejovsky both missing chances to put their side back in the game. Spurs managed to hold on to their 1-0 lead though and take the three points from the game.
