Goals from Erik Nevland and Brian McBride secure a massive three points for Fulham with a 2-0 win over relegation rivals Birmingham.
Fulham bossed this massive contest throughout the first half but failed to produce many clear-cut chances, although the visitors were indebted to one great fingertip save from Maik Taylor to keep the scores level.
However, the Cottagers came out just as strong in the second half and Birmingham fell behind in the 51st minute to a Brian McBride header from six yards out after Jimmy Bullard's perfect curling free kick.
Diomansy Kamara wasted a couple of good chances to seal the victory, but his replacement, Erik Nevland, who had only been on for a matter of minutes, got goalside of Radhi Jaidi in the 87th minute and scampered though on goal to calmly slot past the helpless Taylor.
This clinched a vital win and three points for Fulham who have now moved out of the bottom three on goal difference, after Reading lost 1-0 at home to Tottenham.
