Barcelona ace Lionel Messi is Chelsea's top summer transfer target with the Blues ready to pay £80m for the Argentine ace, reports say.
Club owner Roman Abramovich is desperate to add flair to his side and has long been linked with Messi's Barca team-mate Ronaldinho, but now it is claimed the talented youngster is the player in the Stamford Bridge outfit's sights.
Barca look set for a close-season rebuilding job after coming up short in both the Champions League and La Liga again so will be desperate to keep hold of Messi.
But a world-record fee of £80m would eclipse the £48m Real Madrid paid Juventus for Zinedine Zidane in 2001 and be hard for the Catalans to turn down.
Meanwhile, Zidane has been linked with the manager's position at Championship outfit Queens Park Rangers.
