Fulham have received another boost with the news Clinton Dempsey has signed a contract extension to keep him at the club until 2010.

After starting 28 games for the club during the current campaign, the USA international frontman is the club's leading scorer in the Premiership this season with six strikes to his name.

Dempsey will be hoping the last two years of his Fulham spell are played in the Premiership which is now a distinct possibility after back-to-back wins have given them renewed hope.

The Cottagers travel to Portsmouth, who are preparing for an FA Cup final, in the last game of the season knowing a win will make them safe.
