Tottenham are lining up a £6m swoop for Birmingham's Olivier Kapo as Juande Ramos looks to solve his problem down the left.
The 27-year-old French winger has been an influential member of the Blues' squad this season after being signed by former boss Steve Bruce for £3million from Juventus last summer.
Kapo's recent two-month injury absence has been one of the reasons behind the Blues' poor form which has left them sitting in the relegation places with just one game left to try and save themselves this coming Sunday. And it is claimed Spurs boss Ramos has been keeping tabs on the player with a view to taking him to White Hart Lane in the close-season by offering the City board double what they paid for the former Auxerre man.
The Spanish tactician might persuade Birmingham to sell, but will also need to work hard to get Kapo to swap the Midlands for North London even if they are relegated as he recently told City's magazine that his family have settled in the area and he is willing to see out the three-year contract he agreed at St Andrews.
He said: "I like it here. My family like Birmingham. For me, in my head, I am staying here."
