Bolton are ready to make another move to land Saint Etienne striker Bafetimbi Gomis who looks set to move on this summer.
Trotters boss Gary Megson tried to land the highly-rated striker in January as a replacement for Nicolas Anelka but baulked at the £15million plus fee that was slapped on his head.
Now that Bolton are virtually assured of their place in the Premiership next season after Saturday's 2-0 win over Sunderland, Megson has more of an idea who he will be able to sign in the summer and Gomis is back on the radar.
The 22-year-old, who has been compared to Didier Drogba, looks set to move on in the summer but Saint Etienne will again be holding out for a big fee and that could deter Megson.
"For the moment, I feel good in Saint Etienne," he said of the speculation. "They promised me a good exit but it does not necessarily mean that I will go myself.
"I will take time to reflect. The fact of playing or not competing in Europe can change many things. There will be no arm-wrestling."
