Martin O'Neill says he will not have a problem attracting top quality players to Aston Villa even if they miss out on Europe.

Following the disastrous defeat at home to Wigan at the weekend, Villa need to beat West Ham on the last day of the season and hope Everton lose at home to Newcastle if they are to clinch the final UEFA Cup spot.

Otherwise it will be the InterToto Cup and an early start for Villa, but O'Neill says he will still be able to draft in the quality he needs during the summer.

"I don't honestly think that (attracting the best players) will be a major problem," said O'Neill. "Even if we did finish sixth and had to go through the InterToto, I don't think that would be a major problem.

"The football club is big enough to be able to do that. And despite Saturday we're moving in the right direction. But Saturday was a genuine setback."
