Amir Khan has revealed his next fight will be an "explosive" all-British clash with ex-Super Featherweight champion Michael Gomez.
The 21-year-old from Bolton, unbeaten in 17 professional fights, will tackle the experienced Gomez at he National Indoor Arena on June 21.
"Gomez will walk forward into my punches and I expect it to be an explosive fight," he said.
"If he starts mouthing off and getting into my face it will be part of the experience for me.
"To be honest, I think I'm above this domestic level now but each fight is bringing something different.
"There is no way Gomez is going to be as fit as me so I expect a spectacular stoppage."
Gomez suffered back-to-back losses against Javier Alvarez and Peter McDonagh in 2005, returned for a domestic title shot against Carl Johanneson and was stopped in the sixth round.
But the 30-year-old intends to claim his greatest victory next month against Khan.
"Amir's a very good fighter but he's never fought anyone like me," he said.
"I'm going to take him out of his comfort zone and get in his face before the first bell has even sounded.
"He doesn't have a good right hand and his punch resistance is not too good. People have doubted me throughout my career but the run-of-the-mill fights just don't interest me."
