Harry Kewell is being linked with a possible switch to Newcastle on a free transfer as his Liverpool career comes to a close.
Kewell's Liverpool career is over and he will not be offered a new deal by their boss Rafa Benitez at the end of the season meaning the Australian can move on for nothing in the summer.
The 29-year-old, who made a controversial switch to Anfield from Leeds United in the summer of 2003, has been plagued by injuries and he has not played this season since the Reds home defeat to Barnsley in the FA Cup back in February.
Despite his injuries though he still remains a quality performer on his day and there will be no shortage of interested parties especially if he can be signed on a pay as you play basis.
With former Leeds team-mates Mark Viduka, Alan Smith and James Milner already at St James' Park is could be a move to Newcastle may interest the player, although Juventus are also said to be interested.
