Brazilian-born striker Amauri has almost sealed his move to Juventus, according to Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini.
The Bianconeri had been thought to be leading the chase to land the player, but recently both Roma and AC Milan had been linked with a move, while a number of Premier League clubs had also been known to be interested.
However, the Turin outfit are now seemingly on the verge of landing one of their top summer targets, and just need to iron out a few personal details with the player.
"He will join the Bianconeri, that is 98 per cent," said Palermo's Zamparini.
"It's almost done - we are very close to completing.
"It isn't so much up to Palermo, but Juve must finalise things with the player."
Juve are thought to be set to offer a player in part-exchange for the 27-year-old hitman, although striker Raffaele Palladino has been ruled out.
"He doesn't want to come to Palermo," Zamparini revealed. "He's a bit like everyone else who doesn't know the place and its beauty."
