Richard Dunne's Man City future is still in doubt despite him being named fans' Player of the Season for a fourth successive year.
The 28-year-old central defender has made 295 starts for City since joining the club from Everton in 2000 and has been the star performer for the team over the course of this Premier League campaign.
Sven-Goran Eriksson was looking to tie him down to a new contract, but uncertainty over the coach's future at Eastlands means the decision will rest with City owner Thaksin Shinawatra for the time being. And his hesitancy on the matter means Dunne remains one of the lower earners at the club which could see him opt to jump ship with a number of Premiership sides thought to be interested in signing him.
If Dunne did leave in the summer it would be a big blow to the club and the supporters, who made him the first player in City history to achieve four successive Player of the Season awards.
Meanwhile goalkeeper Joe Hart was named Young Player of the Year at the official supporters' ceremony held at Eastlands on Tuesday night, while youth team skipper Ben Mee was voted Most Promising Player.
