Manchester United defender Mikael Silvestre is not expecting to force his way into the France national squad for Euro 2008.
Silvestre has only just returned to competitive action from his cruciate knee ligament injury suffered in September.
He played in the defeat at Chelsea in the Premier League and also made a Champions League substitute appearance against Barcelona last week to cap a remarkable recovery.
Silvestre says he is looking forward to a summer break and coming back fully recharged for United.
"Unless there are a couple of injuries for France I don't think I will be included," he told the MEN.
"The manager has a few options in defence in the centre and at left-back.
"He has Thuram, Gallas, Mexes, Abidal and Clichy so there is big competition! So I don't mind having a rest to be honest. My aim is to focus on United for next season."
