Cardiff have offered Blackburn goalkeeper Peter Enckelman a permanent three-year contract to stay at Ninian Park.
The Finland international has been on loan from Rovers since the turn of the year and with his Ewood Park contract ending this summer, the Bluebirds now want him to make the deal permanent.
Enckelman, who has kept 10 clean sheets for the Bluebirds this season, has said he would like to extend his stay in Wales but will leave all contract talk to his agent.
Enckelman told icwales:"I am focused on playing football and leave all contract details to my agent.
"He will let me know when there is something certain, but right now I am concentrating on preparing for the FA Cup final.
"Cardiff gave me the chance to kick-start my career.
"There were moments when I found it difficult to motivate myself when I knew I would not be in the matchday 16 at Blackburn.
"Maybe I needed a new challenge - and that was provided by Cardiff."
