Gary Megson is confident Kevin Nolan will make the smooth transition from player to manager when he hangs up his boots.

The Wanderers boss is delighted with the impact skipper Nolan has had on his team-mates in the battle to avoid relegation and feels he has all attributes required to move into the dug-out.

Megson revealed to the club's official website: "I'm sure in time he'll fancy going into coaching and management and he'll learn some other things then, but in terms of where he is at the moment as a player, the captain and a long standing player at Bolton, I couldn't ask any more of him.

"He can get better and he can have a better season next season but that applies to everybody else as well."
