Bradford Bulls have agreed to pay Leeds Rhinos compensation, ending their long-running dispute over Iestyn Harris.
The Yorkshire rivals have been involved in a feud ever since the Bulls signed the former Leeds ace when he returned to the 13-man code from rugby union in Wales in 2004.
Leeds had won a High Court battle two years ago with a ruling that they had first option to resign the player but the two clubs still had not reached a settlement, with a further trial expected in 2009 for Leeds' alleged claim of £3.2m in compensation.
However, the row appears to have finally ended after the Bulls agreed to pay compensation and costs.
In a statement the club said: "Bradford Bulls now accept that, although when they signed Mr Harris they believed that they were free to sign him and acted in good faith in doing so, they now appreciate that in fact Mr Harris was committed to sign for Leeds Rhinos at the time, and apologise to Leeds Rhinos for doing so.
"Bradford Bulls have also agreed to pay Leeds Rhinos appropriate compensation and costs."
