Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez wants £15m from Portsmouth for Peter Crouch if he decides to sell the striker.
Crouch looks set to end his first-team exile at Anfield in the summer and former club Pompey are thought to be keen to do a deal.
But Benitez has slapped a massive price tag on his head as he looks to raise as much cash as possible, although Crouch has also been offered a new deal as well.
"Crouch wants to play every week but knows he must fight it out with Fernando Torres," said Benitez.
"We keep seeing Portsmouth linked with the player but we have had no offer as yet. A £15m price tag for Crouch would not be unreasonable."
Benitez has also confirmed Australia international Harry Kewell will leave the club at the end of his contract in the summer after reportedly rejecting reduced terms.
