The father of Arsenal's Nicklas Bendtner claims a German club have contacted him about a summer move but the striker wants to stay put.

Thomas Bendtner insists a Bundesliga outfit, thought to be champions Bayern Munich, have expressed a desire to take the 20-year-old Denmark international to Germany at the end of this current season.

However Bendtner says his son, Nicklas, is not interested because he feels his future is at the Emirates Stadium, having made 39 appearances for Arsene Wenger's side this term.

"I have heard about these offers from Germany, but Nicklas is staying at Arsenal," Bendtner senior told The Guardian.

"The only way things could be different was if something unexpected should happen, such as him being moved totally outside of the team, but it's difficult to see that happening as he is playing right now."

The news will be a boost to Wenger as Mathieu Flamini recently confirmed his Bosman free transfer to AC Milan, while Alexander Hleb is reportedly about to join Inter.
