Sheffield United have released striker Geoff Horsfield and keeper Paul Gerrard who ended the season out on loan.
The veteran duo saw out the season at Scunthorpe and Blackpool respectively but are free to go with their deals up in the summer.
Blades boss Kevin Blackwell has also released youngsters James Ashmore, Martin Donnelly, Stephen Hernandez, Lloyd Kerry and Dean Oliver.
But Adam Chapman and Kyle Walker have been given pro contracts, with Ryan Cresswell and Liban Abdi offered one-year deals.
