Mikel Arteta will miss the visit of Newcastle after undergoing an operation in Barcelona to sort out a niggling stomach problem.
Toffees boss David Moyes has Leon Osman and Phil Jagielka available as he looks to sew up fifth place in the table and the automatic Uefa Cup slot that goes with it.
"This has been a really good season but we want to make it a great one on Sunday," said Moyes.
"We have an honest group who work really hard and they are totally determined to get that Uefa Cup spot."
Newcastle boss Kevin Keegan is without the injured Mark Viduka and Emre, who has been allowed to go early to prepare for Euro 2008 with Turkey.
Joey Barton will be missing as well, due to bail conditions he is not allowed to step foot in the city where he was born.
"Joey also will not be playing and we will go there (to Everton) with a different side and maybe give one or two people a chance who deserve it but have had to wait," Keegan added.
