Blackburn are ready to offer Tugay a new one-year contract on reduced terms but with the option of a coaching role.

Rovers boss Mark Hughes is keen to keep the 37-year-old on board but does not want to use too much of his transfer budget on securing the Turkey midfielder for another season.

Hughes has opted to cut the player's wages but hopes the opportunity to break into the coaching side of things will persuade him to stay on at Ewood Park.

Tugay would have the chance to coach the Rovers youth teams next season with a view to making his way through the ranks.
