Aston Villa are in the hunt to sign Barcelona striker Eidur Gudjohnsen this summer, according to the player's father.
Gudjohnsen is set to leave the Nou Camp this summer after failing to win a regular place and a return to the Premiership looks to be on the cards with clubs starting to form an orderly queue.
Now according to the player's father Villa, Everton and Fulham are all in the hunt to sign him, while there is also interest from abroad.
"I think that Eidur will leave Barcelona, but I am not sure where he will end up playing next," he revealed.
"There are many possibilities open to him. Apart from Aston Villa, Fulham and Everton, there are also clubs in other European countries that want him."
Martin O'Neill has yet to confirm his interest in the player but he is on the look out for a new striker and could turn to the former Bolton man.
