Aston Villa equalised twice to draw 2-2 in a pre-season friendly at League Two hosts Wycombe.
Wanderers fortuitously went ahead in the 10th minute when Marvin McCoy's cross from the right sailed over the head of goalkeeper Brad Guzan and into the back of the net.
Paul Lambert's team regrouped and got themselves level in the 25th minute with Matthew Lowton's header.
But Wycombe edged in front again six minutes later when Matthew Spring's corner was flicked on by Jon-Paul Pittman into the path of Leon Johnson, who could not miss as he bundled home from point-blank range.
The Premier League side levelled things up early in the second half when Ashley Westwood squeezed his 20-yard free-kick between the goalkeeper and post.
As promised before the game, Villa changed their entire team on the hour mark and they finished with 10 men after Jordan Bowery left the field with a rib injury.
