Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke has no release clause in the new four-year contract he signed last week.
Villa fans were ecstatic when news broke of the Belgian striker's withdrawal of his previous transfer request and recommitment to the cause.
But fears emerged that his agent had inserted a release clause or trigger fee in the new deal - that would have left Villa vulnerable to a bid for their star player in the future.
However, sources in Belgium claim this is not the case and that Villa's 19-goal top scorer is now fully focused on ensuring he plays well enough next season to make his country's World Cup squad.
Benteke renewed after an hour-long meeting with boss Paul Lambert with the sharp decision-making of owner Randy Lerner and chief executive Paul Faulkner credited as the striker become the eighth Villa player to receive a new contract, increasing his wages above £2.5million-a-year.
