Aalborg striker Nicklas Helenius is set to complete his move to Aston Villa early this week once he has undergone a medical.
Reports in Denmark claim Villa have agreed an undisclosed fee for the highly-rated 22-year-old and Aalborg have subsequently given him permission to fly to England to discuss terms and have a medical on Tuesday.
If everything goes to plan then Helenius, who has two caps for his country, scored 16 goals in 33 league games last season and was voted Denmark's Player of the Year on UEFA's website, will put pen-to-paper on a contract at Villa Park.
If Helenius does sign he will become Villa boss Paul Lambert's fourth summer recruit following on from Jores Okore, Leandro Bacuna and Aleksandar Tonev.
