Paul Lambert has reiterated that Christian Benteke is 'really happy' at Aston Villa as Borussia Dortmund have now been linked to him.
The Villa chief has spoken out after further interest in Benteke, who has been a huge success at Villa Park since signing from Genk in a £7million deal last summer, scoring over 20 goals in all competitions.
As a result Premier League rivals Arsenal and Tottenham have already been linked with a possible swoop for the Belgium international this summer, with one set to have Champions League football on offer.
However, while Lambert has previously stated that Benteke is going nowhere, the club's hopes of keeping him will be put to the test further as Champions League finalists Borussia Dortmund are also set to join the race.
Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp is poised to lose prolific 24-year-old striker Robert Lewandowski at the end of the season and reports claim he has set his sights on taking Benteke to the Westfalenstadion.
Villa could realistically command a fee of around £20million for Benteke, but Lambert has again suggested that he will stay put as he has no desire to leave.
He told The Sun: "Christian is just starting on the ladder. He's been saying he's really happy here, so I've left it at that."
