Shorey said: "We are confident - even if they didn't have injuries we would be confident of getting a result. We know they are a good team but we are playing well at the minute.
"Going forward we are a force. We will try and keep it tight at the back and hopefully we will give them a right good game."
Shorey doesn't believe Chelsea will be affected by their injury problems and expects a tough test in London - but is not fazed by the task in hand.
He added: "Drogba is a focal point for them. But you lose Drogba and Nicolas Anelka comes in, or someone else. They will have other players who can come in and do well.
"To be going there with people even talking about an upset just shows how far we have come."
