Trio struggling to face Baggies

John Carew, Ashley Young and Curtis Davies are all doubts for Aston Villa's derby showdown against West Brom.

All three players missed Thursday's 3-1 win over Litex Lovech and have been receiving treatment on their injuries in a bid to be fit for the clash against the Baggies on Sunday.

Carew (ankle) and Young (knee) both picked up knocks in the win at Spurs and will be given until as late as possible to prove their fitness ahead of the trip to the Hawthorns.

Davies, meanwhile, was forced to pull out of the Litex tie late on with a minor knee injury and it's hoped he will be fine to play against Albion provided he comes through training on Friday without any problem.
