Robert Groener, the agent of Aston Villa striker Andreas Weimann, has said the player would be honoured to play for Inter Milan.
Groener has spoken out on the 21-year-old Austrian forward, who is approaching the end of his contract at Villa Park in 2014 and could be set to leave this summer if he does not agree fresh terms as Villa would not want to lose him for a compensation figure.
Weimann has enjoyed his best season with Villa with 11 goals in 30 appearances in all competitions, including 22 Premier League games, which has alerted other clubs.
Norwich were linked with a possible swoop earlier this week, but it now seems Weimann's agent has sent out a come-and-get-me plea to Italian giants Inter Milan while confirming no actual dialogue has opened with the Nerazzuri at this stage.
"At the moment there is nothing concrete," Groener told interlive.it.
"I have not spoken to [Marco] Branca or any other Inter directors. His contract with the the Villans runs until 2014, therefore if he does not extend he could be sold in the summer.
"Playing in the Serie A? Obviously the Serie A isn't as prestigious as the Premier League, but it would be an honour for Weimann to wear the jersey of such an historic club like Inter.
"But, I repeat, there is nothing concrete at the moment."
