Aston Villa have agreed a £4million fee with Danish club Nordsjaelland for defender Jores Okore who is travelling over for a medical.
Villa have swooped for the 20-year-old centre-back, who appears to have been recommended to the club by former skipper Martin Laursen.
The Ivorian-born defender has a handful of caps for Denmark and came off the bench at half-time in their World Cup qualifying defeat to Armenia last night.
Danish coach Morten Olsen replaced injured centre back Andreas Bjelland after 45 minutes with his side trailing 2-0, but Okore was unable to stem the flow of goals and they crashed to a 4-0 loss which puts them out of contention for Brazil 2014.
Reports in Copenhagen claim Okore was at fault for the third goal.
