Aston Villa are closing in on a deal for Sevilla left-back Antonio Luna as Paul Lambert continues to revamp his squad at Villa Park.
It's understood that a fee of around £2m has been agreed to bring the 22-year-old to England from La Liga ahead of the new season.
Lambert is determined to get most of his business done early in the close season and the Scot has made it clear he won't hang around if there are any last minute hitches.
The Villa boss has identified several alternatives to Luna as he looks for another defender to push Joe Bennett for a place on the left-hand side after a difficult first year in the Midlands for the former Middlesbrough star.
Lambert has already snapped up Bulgarian winger Aleksandar Tonev, Dutch midfielder Leandro Bacuna and Danish defender Yores Okore since the end of last season, while frontman Nicklas Helenius is being tipped to finalise his switch this week from Denmark.
