Aston Villa have been told to increase their offer for Nordsjaelland's Jores Okore after their initial £3million bid was rejected.
The Villans are keen to improve their defensive options and have earmarked Denmark international Okore as a player who could thrive in the Premier League.
They aren't the only team interested in the 20-year-old though, with Okore revealing he was close to joining Fulham in January before a deal fell through.
The Cottagers are expected to revive their interest in Okore and Nordsjaelland are keen to exploit the level of interest in the defender by inciting a bidding war.
Villa have been told they will need to offer at least £5million if they want to sign Okore, who remains cool on his future.
"Rumours can be close to being true, but they can also be far away. My experience is just that you have to take it when it becomes concrete," he told Tipsbladet.
