Aston Villa are closing in on a move for talented Finnish Under-17 international Obed Malolo from HJK Helsinki.

The 15-year-old midfielder is one of the current crop of talented teenagers to come out of Finland and was promoted to play for the Under-17s earlier this season, despite being two years younger than some of his teammates.

He made his debut in Finland's 5-0 win over San Marino in October and also started as the young Finns went down 8-1 to Germany a few days later.

Malolo has already been at Villa's academy already three times during the school holidays, and will visit again in January.

However, he is not eligible to sign professional terms with the club until his 16th birthday in April 2013.
