Aston Villa will soon discover how long they'll be without Christian Benteke who was still in some pain from a hip injury on Monday.
The Belgian forward misses Villa's Capital One Cup game with Tottenham on Tuesday night and is a major doubt for Saturday's tough test against Manchester City.
Boss Paul Lambert was still waiting to hear the extent of his hip injury on Monday, but has played down fears that Villa will be doomed if they receive bad news back about their main man.
"We are waiting for the results," he said. "We hope he will be back pretty quickly but we will have to see what everyone is thinking.
"You cannot keep reflecting on one player."
Benteke injured his hip flexor muscle on Saturday against Norwich and was understood to still be in pain 48 hours later.
It is feared that the striker could be touch and go for Belgium's World Cup qualifier against Croatia, which is three weeks away.
