Aston Villa have confirmed midfielder Brett Holman will leave the club by mutual consent as he looks to complete a move to Al Nasr.
Holman signed on a free transfer from Dutch outfit AZ Alkmaar 12 months ago in a deal that had been arranged by former boss Alex McLeish prior to his sacking.
Lambert handed the Australian plenty of opportunities as the former Norwich manager worked to find his best starting 11, giving the midfielder 27 appearances in the Premier League, scoring once.
However, the Scot has been quick to do his business in the summer transfer window and it was expected Holman would be heading for the exit to make way after he received interest from the Middle East.
Al Nasr confirmed on Thursday that they had agreed personal terms with the 29-year-old and he was set to travel for a medical once his contract had been terminated by the Villa Park club.
