Andreas Wiemann insists Aston Villa are in confident mood ahead of Saturday's trip to face Premier League champions Manchester City.
Villa have endured a difficult start to life under new boss Paul Lambert this season as they languish down in 17th position in the Premier League.
However, Wiemann, who grabbed a brace in Saturday's 3-2 defeat against Manchester United at Villa Park, claims the players have taken plenty of positives from the game given that they led the Red Devils 2-0 at one point.
And, the 21-year-old Austrian forward is adamant that Villa will not fear Roberto Mancini's side when they run out at the Etihad Stadium.
"We don't have fear and we shouldn't have. The last few weeks, we've got confidence because we've won a couple of games," he told reporters.
"You've seen the way we played against Manchester United. At the moment we think we can take on anyone and at Manchester City we'll be the same."
