Aston Villa midfielder Fabian Delph insists that the club's young players are not cracking under the pressure of a relegation battle.
The Villans have found points hard to come by in Paul Lambert's first season in charge, but a 6-1 win over Sunderland on Monday night went some way to helping the side closer to safety.
The 23-year-old has enjoyed one of his most successful seasons in the heart of the midfield for Lambert's side, despite their poor position in the table.
The former Leeds United man admits that although it's not nice to be fighting for survival, the young players in the squad have relished the challenge.
Delph said: "We're young players and we have fire in our bellies. It might sound mad but we're not feeling that much pressure.
"We're going out there and enjoying it. We're getting selected to do a job and that's what we've been doing.
"Every game we'll work 100 per cent and if it's not going for us we'll still keep going."
